Thank God I'm Natural - The Book
I recently purchased TGIN on a Sunday and was done reading it on Wednesday. I thought the book was a great read and a wonderful of information for anyone who is transitioning or considering the transition to their natural hair. I started my journey in May 2011 and my hair stylist cut the last inch of relaxer on September 1, 2012. I'm still embracing the new me, but I am so happy that I made this change. My hair had gotten really thin and when I was younger, sitting in the kitchen with my grandmother and the pressing comb on the stove, I don't remember her complaining about my hair being thin. It was too thick. I needed my hair to get healthy and thick so I decided to go back to basics. I do have one salon suggestion for your book/website. Laws Conept Salon in Chicago caters to natural hair also. Susan, the owner, has had natural clients for over 10 years. Just thought wanted to share...
Thank you again for the great book / resource guide. This week I did my first hot oil treatment. I loved it.
